Police officer hurt in crash in Londonderry, NH

A Londonderry police officer was injured Thursday evening after being involved in a crash while riding a department motorcycle, prompting an emergency response and road closures in the area.

The crash happened on Hardy Road near Pheasant Run Road after the officer was responding to another serious traffic incident.

Officer Hit While Responding to Crash Scene

Officials said the officer was operating a police motorcycle when the collision occurred. The officer had been dispatched around 6 p.m. to assist with a separate crash on Stonehenge Road before the second crash happened on Hardy Road.

The circumstances surrounding the crash are still being investigated, and authorities have not released many details about what led to the collision.

Emergency Crews Rush to Help Injured Officer

Following the crash, emergency responders arrived quickly at the scene to provide medical assistance.

The injured officer was transported by ambulance to Elliot Hospital in Manchester for treatment. Officials later reported that the officer was in stable condition.

Road Closed During Investigation

Hardy Road was temporarily closed as police investigated the crash and worked to clear the area.

Investigators examined the scene and gathered information to determine exactly what caused the collision involving the police motorcycle and another vehicle.

Community Shows Support for Injured Officer

News of the crash brought concern from the local community as residents and fellow officers showed support for the injured officer.

Law enforcement officials continue to monitor the officer’s recovery while the investigation into the crash remains ongoing.

Investigation Continues Into Cause of Collision

Authorities are continuing their review of the incident, including the events leading up to the crash and the factors that may have contributed.
