A routine emergency response in Ohio turned into a life-or-death struggle when a Butler County Sheriff’s deputy was allegedly ambushed and stabbed in the back by a man who reportedly told him, “This is your unlucky day,” moments before launching the attack.
The shocking incident occurred on February 5, 2026, in Madison Township, Butler County, Ohio, and resulted in the arrest of 41-year-old Phillip Brandon Lovely. Authorities later accused him of attempting to murder veteran Deputy Mike Farthing after allegedly setting a vehicle on fire.
Deputy Responds to Vehicle Fire Call
