Robert D. Pelletier American Legion Post 247

The Robert D. Pelletier American Legion Post 247 in Tyngsborough MA; a nonprofit Veterans organization, fell victim to a devastating fire in 2022.

After much anticipation this state of the art Community facility has an anticipated opening for this fall (2024).

Who we are? A wartime Veterans Service Organization that spans all eras of our Nations conflicts to preserve the freedoms we enjoy, and our Nation’s needs, comprised of brave men and women who have served with pride, integrity, and honor. We are a family with a place for everyone; Veterans (Legionnaires), military service members (AMVETS), military spouses, grandmothers, mothers, sisters, (Auxiliary), and all male descendants of those who served (S.A.L). In other words, a home for everyone.

What do we do? We are committed to our community with the same dedication we served our Nation by providing essential services. The Legion provides mentorship to the youth, wholesome programs, supporting seniors, feeding those in need, sponsoring athletic teams, offering scholarships, raising funds, and providing a place to gather for fun and celebrations.

What we need? With hat in hand, we are asking the community to consider assisting our Legion to bridge the financial gap and burden between insurance funding and some already received generous donations.

Why we need your generosity? To eagerly continue to provide support to our community as well as offering a safe place for the community to gather and enjoy our new facility.

We thank you for your consideration and any contribution you are able to make to support our purpose and cause. Sincerely and with gratitude, The Membership of American Legion Post 247
