The Granite State Steam and Gas Engine Society will hold their Spring meet in Dunstable at the Little Red Schoolhouse on Sunday, May 5th from 7:00am to 1:00pm.

Before the invention of a portable power source, farmers had to rely upon animals, their own muscles, or waterpower to perform some of their most difficult work. In the 1870’s a portable, single cylinder, water-cooled, gas-powered engine was invented that could drive a large wheel.
