The Nashua Police Department has announced several arrests following a focused enforcement effort aimed at reducing drug-related activity in the city. The operation was conducted as part of the department’s Substance Abuse Reduction Initiative, targeting suspected drug offenses and crimes often connected to illegal drug activity.

Officials said members of the Nashua Police Department’s Narcotics Intelligence Division and Problem-Oriented Policing Unit carried out the arrests during the initiative. The effort was designed to address ongoing concerns related to controlled substances and public safety.

Six People Arrested During Investigation

According to police, six individuals were arrested as part of the operation. The arrests involved allegations of controlled drug offenses, including several felony-level charges.

Those arrested included:

  • Ricardo Morales, 39 — charged with possession of a controlled drug, subsequent offense, a Class A felony.
  • Adam Larose, 43 — charged with possession of a controlled drug, subsequent offense.
  • Michelle Laroche, 51 — charged with possession of a controlled drug, subsequent offense, a Class A felony.
  • Carolyn Gallaher, 29 — charged with two counts of possession of a controlled drug, a Class B felony.
  • Ryan Rutstein, 24 — charged with possession of a controlled drug, subsequent offense, a Class A felony.
  • Melissa Dimond, 39 — charged with two counts of possession of a controlled drug, subsequent offense, a Class A felony.

Narcotics and Problem-Oriented Policing Units Lead Effort

The arrests were handled by specialized units within the Nashua Police Department that focus on investigating narcotics activity and addressing problems affecting the community. Police said these operations often target not only drug possession cases but also related criminal activity connected to substance abuse.

The department has continued using targeted initiatives to identify suspected drug activity and remove illegal substances from the community.

Court Proceedings Expected

All individuals arrested are expected to appear in Hillsborough County Superior Court. The charges are allegations, and each defendant is considered innocent unless proven guilty in court.

Police reminded residents that information from the public can play an important role in investigations involving illegal drug activity. The department encouraged anyone with information to contact its narcotics hotline or crime line.

Community Safety Remains a Priority

The Nashua Police Department said the Substance Abuse Reduction Initiative is part of a broader effort to address the impact of illegal drugs and related crimes. Officials continue to encourage community members to report suspicious activity as police work to improve public safety.
