Massachusetts man charged in connection with violent Conn. street takeover

A Massachusetts man is facing serious criminal charges after investigators linked him to a violent street takeover event in Connecticut that drew hundreds of participants, disrupted traffic, and resulted in damage to a police vehicle.

Authorities announced that 22-year-old Aldo Almonte Vargas of Worcester, Massachusetts, has been charged for his alleged role in organizing and coordinating a large-scale street takeover that unfolded in East Haven, Connecticut, late last year.

Street Takeover Drew Hundreds of Participants

According to investigators, the incident occurred on November 30, 2025, along Foxon Road in East Haven. Police were called after receiving reports that numerous vehicles had blocked roadways while drivers performed dangerous stunts, including burnouts and other reckless maneuvers.
