GROTON GRANGE #7

Do You Love Cheese?

Have you ever wanted to discover details about how your favorite cheeses are created?

We are delighted to announce our first event in a farm to table series about tasting the food and beverages we enjoy. Recently opened, the Barn Door, an artisanal and epicurean market, is collaborating with the Groton Grange agricultural community, to offer an introductory talk and cheese tasting on Saturday, October 23, from 3 – 5 pm at the Groton Grange #7 building, 80 Champney Street, in Groton.

At 3 pm, the Barn Door’s cheese monger, Steve Dahlgren, will present a dynamic talk about cheese making and the different styles of cheeses. Steve has over 20 years of experience in the cheese business and is the General Manager of the Barn Door at Able Farm and Garden, 51 South Road, on Route 119, Pepperell.

At 4 pm, an outdoor cheese tasting event will take place to raise funds for the maintenance of the historic Grange building.  Steve will offer several different cheeses to taste – following strict Covid protocols.

The introductory talk is free to all and sponsored by the Town of Groton Trust Funds’ Lecture Fund.

Reservations are required for the outdoor cheese tasting at 4 pm. Please RSVP at mrmblaze50@gmail.com or 978-448-5426 by October 16.

Parking is on Common Street.
