Mandala Mini-Pumpkins via Zoom, Monday, October 4, 5:30-6:30 p.m. Mandy Roberge from Wicked Good Henna will demonstrate various painting techniques, including pointillism, to create something from the heart. Kits available for pick up on 9/27.

Nightmares: Your Darkest Dreams Interpreted via Zoom, Wednesday, October 6, 7-8:30 p.m.

Based on Jeff Belanger’s book, The Nightmare Encyclopedia: Your Darkest Dreams Interpreted, this program dives into our sleep, our dreams, why we dream, and then explores the most profound and memorable of all of our dreams: our nightmares. Funded in part by a grant from the Tyngsborough Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.

Gardening is Murder with Neal Sanders, Wednesday, October 20, 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Community Room. Mystery writer Neal Sanders will present a ‘husband’s point of view’ of gardening.  This program is filled with humor and insight from someone who gardens less from an abiding love of horticulture than for the love of a spouse. Co-sponsored by the Tyngsboro Garden Club.

Understanding Your Aura via Zoom, Tuesday November 2, 6-8:00 p.m. Sydney Sherman is an Author, Reiki Master and Aura Consultant. Learn what an aura is, how to understand what the different colors mean, how we respond to outside stimulation, etc. This is a 3 part combo program rolled into one. A Q&A session will be provided at the end of the program.

Friends Fall Book & Jewelry Sale will be held on Saturday, October 16. Donations of books, DVDs, CDs, puzzles and gently used jewelry are being accepted. Volunteers needed. Call the library for more information.

Ukulele Workshop with David Maloof, Wednesday, September 29, 7-8:30 p.m. Learn various ukulele strums and chords. Sing and play children’s songs, rock ‘n’ roll, pop, and more. (All ages) Funded by a grant from the Tyngsborough Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.

Gandhi Jayanti’s birthday, Saturday, October 2, 1-1:30 p.m. on Zoom. Celebrate Gandhi’s birthday with a special craft. Pick up materials on the Saturday before.

Jungle Jim, Tuesday, October 12, 4–5 p.m., outside at the library. Combining balloon artistry, magic, comedy and improv, Jim creates an amazing experience for children. (Ages 4-11)

PokeMondays, 4–4:45 p.m. on Zoom, Mondays throughout October. Pokemon Trading Card Game Online. Learn to play and make new friends. We also have special bonus codes for registered players. Download a free game installer from pokemon.com.Make sure to play through the tutorial so you will be ready to challenge other players online. (Ages 7+)

CrafTyng Tuesdays, 4–4:30 p.m. on Zoom, Tuesdays throughout October. Every week, a new craft will be featured for at-home assembly. Pick up materials on the Wednesday before. (grades Pre-K+)

Advanced Minecraft, 4–5 p.m. on Zoom, Wednesdays throughout October. Learn how to use redstone, command blocks, and some simple programming to enrich your Minecraft experience. (grades 3+)

Advanced Crafts for Older Kids, 6:30–7:30 p.m. on Zoom, Wednesdays throughout October. Every week, we will make a new mechanical model. Pick up materials on the Thursday before. (grades 3+)

Kawaii Safari Thursdays, 4–4:30 p.m. on Zoom, Thursdays throughout October. Every week, we will learn to draw a new animal. (grades 1+)

Family Programming with Scratch, 11 a.m.–12 p.m. on Zoom, Saturdays throughout October. Learn how to program a video game using MIT’s free Scratch application. This program is intended for kids working with an adult. (grades 2+)

Ongoing:

Outside storytimes in our garden area, weather permitting. We will provide socially distanced mats for the kids. Please feel free to bring picnic blankets or lawn chairs, and bug spray.

Storytime with Ms. Sam! Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.

Music and Storytime with Mr. Robert. Thursdays at 11 a.m.

Board of Library Trustees Meetings are generally held monthly 3rd Thursday. Check the TPL or Town websites for scheduled meetings.
